Independent Living
This session will be looking at what support and information is currently available for young people and their families to explore independent or inter-dependent living. What support or information is needed and when. How do we manage the not knowing what we don’t know situation?
Engagement Event 2
Thursday 19th March 10am – 12pm Maple Park Community Centre, Stanford-Le-Hope SS17 0FL

Health and Wellbeing
This session will look at the transition from children’s services to adult services, the support your young person may need to engage or access health services and how this can be achieved. We will also look at annual health checks, mental health services and again, what help and support currently exists and how to find it.

Community Inclusion
This session will look at what opportunities and support is available for accessing the community, making and maintaining friendships, having a social life, getting involved in sport, keeping active, reducing isolation.

Monday 13th April 10am -12pm The Beehive Resource Centre, Grays RM17 6XP

Education, training & work
This session will focus on Post 16 education and training opportunities, what information is available, how easy is it to find, what the application and consultation processes are. Also, we will be looking at work experience, vocational training, apprenticeships, supported internships/employment.
You may attend any or all of the events either online or in person. Please let us know if you need any additional support to enable you to engage. We will be holding events in schools and setting across the borough but also welcome the young people to engage with us either in person or at the online sessions.
